Vintage Car in Cuba

One of the most intriguing characteristics about the lifestyle in Cuba, which I noticed on my trip there in 2000, was the abundance of vintage cars.   The cars are in meticulous shape, and as you get around Habana, you can see people shining their cars and socializing around these cars.  The ‘fifties’ cars are the primary style.  Rarely do you see a new vehicle, unless it is owned by an important person or a government employee.  I saw them when I was hanging out at the Hemingway Marina.

All Hallow’s Eve

Edward S. Curtis

ALL HALLOW’S EVE  is the time to be in touch

with the space between heaven and earth…

the mysterious,

the masked dark side,

what lies behind the door,

it is the moment that lingers between light and dark,

seeking to be understood and sought after by many,

a time when the world withers and begins again.
